Grammar Focus: Passive Verbs
Passive forms of verbs are formed by suffixing -am to the verb root or stem. Simple verb + am.
- beek + am = beeham (be known)
- jaar + am = jaaram (be built)
Karri chufamte. (The gate is closed.)
Grammar Focus: Reciprocal Pronoun
The reciprocal pronoun wal indicates that the action is mutual. Wal means 'each other or one another'.
Isoon wal beekoni. (They know each other.)
