Grammar Focus: Adjectives - Gender, Number, Comparison
Oromo adjectives show gender. The first type has -aa for masculine and -oo for feminine (e.g. guddaa/guddoo - big). Plurals are often formed by reduplicating the first syllable. Comparison is expressed using the postposition 'irra' (than) and the word 'daran' for superlative.
