Grammar Focus: Noun - Number, Definitiveness
In Oromo plural forms of the nouns are rarely used. Plurality is shown by numerals, adjective of quality (like hedduu), a verb form or simply it can be deduced from the context. The suffixes of plural are -oota, -aan, -wan, and -en.
Definitiveness is marked by the suffix -icca (-ticca) for masculine and -ittii (-tittii) for feminine.
