Compound sentences are formed also with waan which means 'what', bakkii which means 'where', akkamitti to mean 'how' and waan+ U) to mean 'why'.
Waan inni yaade kamaa. (What he thought is bad.)

In Harar Oromo, conditional clauses are identified by silaa and yoo. The verb of the clause expressing the condition is in the past tense.
Silaa ati eegde dafeen dhufa. (I shall come soon if you wait for me.)
