Learn the suffixes for standard Oromo verbs in the present tense.
Present Tense Conjugation
To conjugate a regular verb, remove the infinitive -uu and add the following suffixes:

| Ati (You) | -ta | Ati ni deemta |
| Inni (He) | -a | Inni ni deema |
| Isheen (She) | -ti | Isheen ni deemti |
| Nuti (We) | -na | Nuti ni deemna |
| Isin (You pl.) | -tu | Isin ni deemtu |
| Isaan (They) | -u | Isaan ni deemu |
The prefix ni (or nan for first person) is often used to emphasize the verb.
